A bit of history and an outline of what we do

The Hall has been part of the life of Mitchel Troy since the 1930s, when it was established as a charity to provide leisure, recreational and educational facilities for the residents of Mitchel Troy and surrounding area.

With its capacious Hall, disabled facilities, beautiful new kitchen and large car park, it is used by groups as diverse as Playgroup, art and craft workshops, Photography Club, Bridge Club, U3A Science & Technology  and Village Produce Association.

It is also available to be booked on a one-off basis for birthday and other celebrations and for charity events, as well as meetings.

Events such as musical performances, quiz nights and fayres are held throughout the year.  Coffi Troddi is the Hall’s monthly coffee morning when everyone is welcome.  Drop in for some company, meet up with friends and neighbours, enjoy home-made cakes and tea or coffee – all while being entertained by demonstrations of crafts and skills or learning more about local charities.

The Trothy is the Hall’s pop-up pub, open on the first Saturday of every month in the evening from 7pm to 10:30pm.  It’s a great place to relax and have a chat over a drink.
